Rebels LC 2023 Has 4 D1 Commitments in First Month

We wanted to send out congratulations to some members of our 2023 team.

In the first month of recruiting for our 2023 squad, we have had four players commit to play lacrosse at the Division 1 level. The rest of the team is busy at work going on visits, deciding on offers they have received from colleges, and continuing to work on their craft. You can follow along with their process at @RebelsLC on Instagram.

Since our inaugural 2021 Rebels LC team we have had over 40 college commitments, including 20+ Division 1 college commitments, and multiple NESCACS. We pride ourselves in working with every player to find their academic, athletic and social fit to play at the next level.

Take a look at our first four 2023 commits:

Alex Gatto - Attack (Boston University)

Alex has been with the Rebels since the beginning. He is a recent 4-star recruit by Inside Lacrosse and is touted as one of the best players in the country. He plays X-Attack for Rebels LC 2023 but has the versatility to play all over the field. With NCAA-level vision, Alex has been a centerpiece for Roslyn High School since he was in 8th grade. He will dominate at the next level. Alex also made the Team USA U16 team.

Mike Kitevski - Faceoff Midfield (Boston University)

Mike burst onto the scene and established himself as one of the best face-off men in the country this season. He took draws for powerhouse Ward Melville in the spring season and continued his dominance through the summer recruiting circuit at team events, and individual events such as Maverik Showtime and I-95, where he took home the gold. Mike has also been a member of the Rebels since its inaugural season.

Trevor Galgano - Defense (Air Force)

Trevor has been wreaking havoc on the defensive side of the ball for years. His hard work and dedication have paid off with a commitment to play at Air Force. Trevor has been starting for Walt Whitman High School's varsity team since 8th grade, under Head Coach Matt Lauria. We thank Trevor for his future service.

Danny McMahon - Attack (Wagner)

Danny McMahon is a great shooting/wing attackman that will be joining his cousin, Tristan McMahon (Rebels LC 2022), at Wagner. He led Xaverian to a league championship this year while being the leading scorer. Danny is a deceptive shooter that is able to work well in the 2-man game and shoot around screens at a high level.

We wish these four the best of luck through this journey. Thanks go out to our all-star college recruiting staff of Liam Brennan, Taylor Horan, and Joe Licata as they work tirelessly to assist our players through this process. Whether it's introductory Recruiting 101 calls and seminars, setting up their recruiting profiles and reaching out to college coaches on the player's behalf, or sending in showcase recommendations, and much more - this group puts in a ton of work behind the scenes. Stay tuned as there are many more commitments to come.

As always, if you have any questions about joining the Rebels family reach out to info@rebelslc.com or call us at 516-586-8162. We offer training teams for grades K-3 and tournament teams for grades 2-11.
