Rebels Take In NLL Riptide Game This Weekend

A fun-filled weekend of lacrosse was no match for the blizzard that hit Long Island all day on Saturday. After the NLL Lacrosse game between the Riptide and Bandits was postponed on Saturday, the Rebels Lacrosse Club was still able to enjoy a great event on Sunday afternoon. In the end, the Rebels witnessed a shootout, with the Bandits winning the matchup in barnburner fashion, 18-17.

The Rebels extend their gratitude to the Riptide organization for allowing some of our young players to go onto the field for the opening ceremony & National Anthem,

and to get their sticks going on the field. Growing the game as much as they can, this seemed like another powerful event to not only show some love to the Riptide, New York’s indoor team, but also get the young players in front of the most high-level pace of play you will see in the sport.

A ton of goals, celebrations and crowd chants filled Nassau Coliseum throughout every period; the place was rocking! The boys even got to witness an ESPN SportsCenter Top 10 number 1 ranked goal by Jake Fox, 3rd year Forward out of Ottawa. What an opportunity to watch professionals to prepare for the first big slate of NCAA college games approaching this upcoming weekend.
